In Mexico, extensive challenges persist in financial education, which is reflected in the distrust and ignorance of the population to approach and make appropriate use of banking, considered Oscar Rosado, president of the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services. (Condusef).
People do not know or do not know how to make a family spending plan, they do not have a bank card, they have no notion of managing bank accounts, Afores or credits, he lamented.

When witnessing the 15th anniversary of Citibanamex's 2004-2019 Financial Education program, he added that this is an example of the actions that must be taken to all social strata, making use of creativity and imagination for the dissemination and understanding of the concepts by of all people.

In an interview with ExpokNews, he commented that with their financial training programs and the new Financial Education microsite hosted on their website, they hope to generate a better financial culture in the population.
"People do not use financial products due to lack of knowledge, one of the main problems is lack of interest, which is why everyone is invited to ask and learn about everything that surrounds personal finances."
Among the new projects to be developed by the bank is the Entrepreneurship Laboratory, which will be a room open to the general public with which they will be inviting all citizens to experience financial challenges and know if they are fit to be entrepreneurs.
Another bank project is called “From parents to children,” which disseminates digital tools to make dialogue on education and economics at home a daily occurrence.
They also have the “Movicine” system, a truck that brings educational projections about the value of money to minors in rural communities. But its novelty will be to include films for adults and make the activity a family experience.
