Hello, prodigal{community}! I've been bouncing this idea off of a few people, and since interest is increasing, I think it would be a good time to announce these leadership musings.
In honor of soon celebrating our 2000th follower (as in, we're currently at 1,998 followers as I type this!!), the runners of 31Women and theprodigal{movement} have toyed with the notion of setting up accountability partners/prayer warriors for anybody who requests one. If we've received a message from a person experiencing a particular issue, at their request we would then match them up with a person also going through the same thing. After exchanging emails and contact information, these two people experiencing the same test or trial or tribulation can thus hold each other up in times of storm. This is a very simple idea, but I'm confident that God can use these mutual pairings to foster great growth and interpersonal connections with each other as we go through our daily lives as prodigal people.
There's no better way to be uplifted than by a community of saints, and I think this could be a very wonderful experiment if people are willing. Let us know in the comments if any of you guys like/dislike the idea, have comments about how it could be run, or if you would like to be matched up with a prayer/accountability partner right now.
Thank you guys for your helpful feedback, and thanks to ALL OF YOU for building this 31Women/prodigal{movement} community up so strong! 2,000 followers..... mhmmm. God. does. not. forsake. Praise Him.
Stay blessed,
-31Women (Akua)
